Break Down of Reasoning

for change and what affects it

Why is your identity important?

Your personal identity is how you decide to live your life and your ability to understand and implement these three critical questions:

  1. “How am I experiencing myself?”

  2. “How am I experiencing others?”

  3. “How are others experiencing me?”

We often describe ourselves by the activities we do and not the principles we live by. However, it is only by asking ourselves these critical questions that we can learn who we really are and live by our highest values. Our belief is that most things we go through in life are choices or learning experiences and it is up to you to take responsibility, learn how to shift perspective and as a result improve your experience.

What does self-esteem have to do with personal success?

Self-Esteem is self-love and confidence. It allows you to assert yourself in the world in a healthy productive way. Self-esteem helps you build relationships, communicate boundaries, participate in the community, create a legacy for yourself and enjoy your time with the people who appreciate and love you. Creating stable and secure relationships allow for creation, independence, and community.

Why is it important to know your values?

Values are the framework for how we choose to interact with the world. They determine how we spend our resources-time, money and energy. When we act in alignment with our values and attract people who are also aligned with those values, we become energized because we feel supported, understood, and validated. This is the foundation of building deeper connections with people, places, and things. When our outside world aligns with our inside world, we find peace, passion, and a life worth living.

How do personal beliefs affect relationships?

Personal beliefs ultimately map out who you surround yourself with and what options for change or experience you have available. Beliefs that surround money, sex, relationships, and our relationship with ourselves dictate the level of happiness you will be able to create and how you will access that happiness. It can also act as a limitation of how much you can achieve or grow. In our experience, those that don’t understand their social needs and desires will surround themselves with people who do not compliment them or add value to their lives.

What obstacles will hold you back from committing to this group?

If you are beginning this work, the biggest obstacles you will face are maintaining your vision, positive self-talk, boundaries with people in your life, specific people not supporting your choice to improve, mental and emotional triggers that lead to regressions in behavior. True Self is committed to helping you achieve long-term success by providing a vision, framework, and support for you and your future self. Part of our mission is to create access to people in your community that are on the same journey as you are. By sharing your journey and connecting with others, we are able to learn from and support each other in difficult times and celebrate exciting moments as a community.

To overcome your self-doubt, we recommend reaffirming personal belief or desire through auto-suggestion, journaling about your ideas and potential, and establishing a community to support you. You should know that even the most successful people in the world doubted themselves at some point. It’s a normal thing to do, but just because you think something doesn’t make it true.
